Treating your floor with oil
For oiling parquet floors, we use only high-quality oils. These are available in a wide range of colors, ensuring there is always a shade that perfectly matches your interior and personal taste.
The oil penetrates deep into the wood, thereby offering excellent protection. An oiled floor has a natural, matte appearance that emphasizes the warm and authentic look of the wood. In addition, the oil dries quickly: within 24 hours, you can carefully walk on your floor again wearing socks.
To keep an oiled floor looking beautiful, regular maintenance is important. Vacuum or sweep the floor frequently to remove dirt and sand, and clean it—depending on the intensity of use—with the appropriate maintenance products.
Treating your floor with varnish
For lacquering parquet floors, we use a high-quality water-based lacquer. This is applied in three layers and forms a strong, protective top layer that completely seals the wood against moisture and dirt.
It is available in various colors and finishes, from matte to glossy, so you can choose the look that best suits your interior. Moreover, a lacquered floor is very low-maintenance.
The only disadvantage is that localized damage is less easy to repair than with an oiled floor.
Treating your floor with hard wax
Hardwax is an extra protective layer that is applied approximately 24 hours after oiling the floor. This layer ensures a durable, wear-resistant finish and offers extra protection against dirt, moisture, and scratches. This keeps your floor looking beautiful for longer and better able to withstand daily use.
We particularly recommend the use of hard wax in households with children and/or pets, where the floor is subjected to heavier use. With a hard wax finish, you enjoy not only a beautiful appearance but also a floor that is better protected against the challenges of daily life.

SANDING AND OILING OR LACQUERING PARQUET
A parquet floor is a durable choice that, with proper maintenance, lasts for decades. To keep your floor looking beautiful for as long as possible, we recommend having it sanded every 6 to 8 years, depending on usage.
During sanding, we remove the top layer of the wood, including all old oil, varnish, or other finishes. This eliminates scratches, dents, water stains, and wear marks, and evens out color differences caused by sunlight.
Our certified and experienced parquet installers work with dust-free sanders and follow a meticulous process for optimal results. We use multiple sanding passes, various grits of sandpaper, and exclusively high-quality machines and materials.
Once the floor has been completely sanded down to bare wood, we apply a new coat of oil or lacquer according to your wishes. You can choose a finish that complements the original appearance of your floor, or opt for a completely new look.
During the consultation, we would be happy to discuss the various options with you — the choice of treatment depends, among other things, on the type of wood of your parquet floor.
